Minko wins at the 2016 Entreprise evening

Last night, ENTREPRISE 2016 was held at the Salle Pierre-Mercure, a major annual event presented by the Fashion Marketing graduates. This event, an initiative from LaSalle College’s International School of Fashion, Arts and Design, offers an opportunity for the graduates to apply their entrepreneurial vision by presenting innovative business ideas to an influential jury composed of renowned members of the fashion and business industry. Therefore, the jury selected the Best Business Concept that met the evaluation criteria such as innovation and market potential, just to name a few.

Thus, Minko team was crowned winner of the evening and received a $2,000 bursary on behalf of the Dynamite Group. From newborns to 12 year olds, Minko offers a complete selection of garments that do not define gender roles, but open a world of possibilities. 

Also, the "Public’s Choice Award” was given to the Borëe team, earning itself a $1,000 bursary on behalf of Ardène. Borëe is a brand from Montréal that offers modernized bath wraps for men and women of all ages. 

Over the years, the ENTREPRISE concept has grown to major proportions. For the 2016 edition, six business concepts have been presented to a substantial audience and to the jury composed of six leading members of the fashion industry:

• Mr Jean-François Comeau, President, Mahée Parfums;
• Mr Andrew Lutfy, CEO, Groupe Dynamite;
• Ms Joanne Nemeroff, Senior Vice President, Holt Renfrew/Ogilvy Montréal;
• Mr Hicham Ratnani, co-founder and COO, Frank & Oak;
• Mr Franco Rocchi, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Le Château de Montréal;
• Ms Debbie Zakaib, Executive Director, Grappe métropolitaine de la mode (mmode).
