On June 13, 2018, Makeup and Aesthetics students hosted workshops with elementary school students to speak out against violence and intimidation in schools.

Once again this year, they joined the SPVM, Montreal’s Police Department, which gathered children in the “Unité sans violence” (Unity without violence) prevention program together in the Complexe sportif Claude-Robillard sports complex.

This program mainly targets elementary school children in grades 5 and 6 and aims to support their commitment to not accept violence, to express themselves and to thereby reduce the prevalence of this phenomenon in the lives of young people.

For the 10th year of “Unity without violence”, more than 1,200 youths from across Quebec came together to say “no” to violence and intimidation

Students hosted three workshops: “Special effects makeup: making fake blood and wounds”, “Makeovers” and “Manicures and nail design.”

A big thanks to our students for offering the children a fun workshop and for passing on their passion for their fields!
