On May 13, the 2018 Signature fashion show once again highlighted the creativity that makes LaSalle College’s graduates the talk of the town.

More than 4000 spectators attend the Signature fashion show every year, making it the largest in Canada for nearly 30 years.

Signature highlights more than 300 creations entirely designed and made by around 100 LaSalle College Fashion Design graduates. This show is the first step into the professional world of fashion for these emerging designers.

The 18 collections were divided into four categories: Black and White, Colors, Gender Neutral, and Creativity, along with two opening scenes that presented designs by students in the Costume Design for Cinema and Television program.

In total, more than 300 designs presented by 70 models lit up the Palais des congrès during two shows at 4:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

The Signature fashion show is the culmination of three years of intense study. It is a decisive moment for our up-and-coming designers who use it as a launching pad for their careers, following in the footsteps of successful graduates such as Marie Saint Pierre, Sofia Sokoloff and Thomas Tait.

Inter-Dec College (now LaSalle College) Beauty and Body Care students designed and provided hairstyles, make-up and nail treatments for the models.

About the Fashion Design Program

LaSalle College’s Fashion Design program is geared towards people passionate about fashion and clothing who want to learn to create a wide range of new designs. It was designed to develop students’ creativity, dexterity and fashion sense. Students are completely immersed in the intoxicating experience of creation and design. At the end of their training, designers from this program are equipped to produce a complete original collection.
