The most famous statue in Brussels, Manneken-Pis, received a new costume designed by Rudsak and made by LaSalle College students.

Located in the heart of Brussels, the Manneken-Pis (meaning “urinating boy”) received his first costume in 1698. Since then, he has worn no less than 984 costumes.

The statue depicting a little boy urinating into a fountain’s basin is regularly dressed to pay tribute to associations, events or characters.

The 984^th costume was donated by the City of Montreal to symbolize the friendship between the two cities. It was designed by the Quebec company Rudsak, and created by LaSalle College Fashion Design students.

The costume representing the 375^th of Montreal was presented on December 9^th. Mayor Valérie Plante delivered it in person to Philippe Close, mayor of Brussels, during an official ceremony in the Brussels City Hall.

Fashion Trip: Discovering the Fashion Scene Backstage in New York

A group of fashion students left Montréal for a few days to visit the icons and exhibitions of one of the four major fashion capitals: New York. Their trip included a visit to Tiffany & Co., to the headquarters and archives of Gap, to Bergdorf Goodman, to the MET's Costume Institute and to the FIT Museum.
