Two LaSalle College Montreal Graduates Win at the Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards Gala

The prestigious CAFA Gala, whose goal is to encourage Canadian talents from the arts and fashion community, was held last Saturday.

Among the list of nominees were several LaSalle College graduates, and two of them received awards!

Nominated LaSalle College Graduates

Marie Saint Pierre – Womenswear Designer of the Year Award
Thomas Tait – International Canadian Designer of the Year Award
Jon De Porter – Award for Emerging Talent, Accessories
Mackage – Accessory Designer of the Year Award
Jérôme C. Rousseau – Accessory Designer of the Year Award

Marie Saint Pierre and Jérôme C. Rousseau received, respectively, the Womenswear Designer of the Year Award and the Accessory Designer of the Year Award.

Jérôme C. Rousseau, a 1997 graduate of the Fashion Design program, is now a widely acclaimed luxury shoe designer. He settled in Los Angeles several years ago, and his shoe designs are worn by some of the greatest Hollywood stars!

Marie Saint Pierre is a 1986 graduate of the Fashion Design program and a pioneer in the fashion industry. This award of excellence is in recognition of her 25-year career!
