Soraya Ramiro, a graduate of the Professional Cooking DEP program at LaSalle College Montréal’s International School of Hotel Management and Tourism, had the pleasure of playing an important role during the recent Pan Am Games, which took place from July 10th to 26th in Toronto. The graduate was responsible for preparing the farewell meal for the Peruvian delegation, consisting of 157 athletes, during the closing ceremony held on July 26th. 

Peru-Gourmet 2014 

As you may remember, Soraya Ramiro won the last edition of the Peru Gourmet competition organized by the Peru-Canada Chamber of Commerce of Montréal, earning herself a gastronomic trip to Peru. Her victory gave her the opportunity to travel to Peru to discover the country’s culture and gastronomy by meeting with several well-known chefs, visiting markets and museums and dining at the famous Central, the best restaurant in America which ranked 4th on the list of The World's 50 Best Restaurants
