• Training provided entirely in distance mode, with a teacher and in real time (synchronous).
  • The internships (semester 1) could be done in a residence anywhere in Quebec or abroad, with the virtual supervision of a teacher.

The program is centered on management skills and prepares you to:

• Market and sell your facility’s services
• Ensure customer satisfaction among the residence’s clients

This program leads to an Attestation of College Studies (AEC).

This training program is unique in Quebec, it offers access to professional certifications in addition to the Attestation of College Studies:

• You will earn health and safety certification because the course is presented by trainers with ASSTSAS certification (Association paritaire pour la santé et sécurité du travail du secteur affaires sociales)
• You will be eligible for a PDSB (principe de déplacement sécuritaire des bénéficiaires) card, an undeniable asset for your resume
• You will have the opportunity to follow the Immersion Alzheimer/Virtual Dementia Tour® specialization given by a certified trainer. You will be eligible to obtain a certification in the management of seniors with Alzheimer's disease, a certification that is recognized in the Quebec network of seniors' residences;
• This three-semester training program is offered at night, making it a flexible option if you already have a job, whether you live in Montréal or elsewhere in Québec
• Study from the comfort of your home with the online synchronic version. In-person version also available (on campus)
• Two practical in-company internships. First and second internship anywhere in Canada or abroad.

The use of a laptop computer is highly recommended (learn more). Standard or student license software must be installed when requested by teachers.

The following features are required for PCs or Macs:

• Processor: Intel I5 minimum
• Memory: 8 GB recommended
• Hard drive: 500 GB minimum
• Screen: 14 inches minimum
• Connectivity: WIFI and LAN
• Ports: Minimum of one USB 3.0 port

We recommend purchasing an external numeric keyboard if your laptop does not already have one.

Required software: Office Suite for Windows or Mac (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
