What title do you currently hold and what are your main roles?

I am a co-founder of a social media agency based in Montréal. My main roles include building social media strategies from a to z, managing employees, nourishing client relations as well as managing projects as a whole.

Describe a typical day in your professional life:

My day typically starts with answering client emails, planning photoshoots and checking in with each account. It then varies between pitching to new potential clients, assisting a photoshoot or a video production.

Describe your career path:

After graduating from the LaSalle College International School of Fashion, Arts and Design, I worked in the marketing/fashion industry for two years. With a love for business, I co-founded a business that offered training equipment and fitness clothing primarily in Canada and the United States.

After realizing that I had a strong interest in digital marketing, I left the company to start working for an advertising agency in Montréal. It was then that I discovered my passion for creating content and social media strategies.

My current agency now primarily does business in Montréal and New York, offering a variety of services such as social media management, content creation, advertising services and much more.

What is your fondest memory while studying at LaSalle College?

My fondest memory was creating a business from scratch with four other students. Seeing an idea come to fruition from a to z is a valuable experience that every student should partake in.

What was your favorite subject while studying at LaSalle College? Are you applying this today to your current career? Any anecdotes to share?

My favorite subject was definitely marketing. It taught me various key elements that I still apply on a daily basis and allowed me to have a global understanding.

What was your general feeling and first impression when you started out at LaSalle College?

I was extremely excited to start the new experience. There was a lot of diversity in our class subjects that made the experience very enriching.

What surprised you the most when you arrived on the workforce?

What surprised me the most was how much attention goes into every department. Seeing the process behind the scenes and every aspect of how businesses operate.

What advice would you offer to a student currently enrolled in the same program you took or to your younger self?

Trust the process and stay curious! Knowledge is power!

What are the qualities necessary to succeed in your field?

I would say having grit. Being passionate and persevering towards your long-term goals, even when being faced with obstacles.

Anything you would like to add that would be inspiring to our next generation?

Don’t be afraid to try new things. Start a business and don’t be afraid to fail. My failures were my best teachers. You can fail 1000 times, but you only need that one success.
