On October 27th in San Francisco was held the closing ceremony of the prestigious international Arts of Fashion Competition, which aims to reward the best students in fashion around the world. Pierre O. Lavallée Morissette, still a student in Fashion Design at LaSalle College, greatly distinguished himself by finishing in the top 50 of the competition.
His concept came through questioning men’s identity in the fog of society‘s rebuilding, exposing men’s mere dictatorship over women; he’s nervous, confused, disoriented, melted and reshaped. Theatrical rendition of men’s secular power translated in today’s reality where masculinity is outshined by femininity.
The fifty finalists of this competition were chosen among 312 candidacies coming from 120 fashion schools and universities in 34 different countries.
