From February 28th till March 2nd 2018, 52 students from the programs of Fashion Marketing and Fashion Design from LaSalle College made their way to New York, the heart of the Fashion industry, and met professionals of the industry. Thanks to inspiring visits at Ralph Lauren, LaForce Public Relations, Calvin Klein Denim, and Dannijo Jewelry, the students got a chance to experience all the work behind a brand. They also got to visit the WGSN head office, international agency incharge of predicting future trends and got to chat with the experts of "cool hunting".
The students also saw the behind the scenes creation of the detailed and celebrated designers of the famous 5th avenue like Louis Vuitton, Tiffany and Bergdorf Goodman, through a passionately guided visit by a marketing specialist. This trip was also the perfect reason to visit to Metropolitan Museum of Arts with a specialized visit, "Fashion in Arts".
From one end of the city to the other, enchaining discoveries with a full schedule, this trip, tailor-made by teachers and organizers, Lili Desrochers and Yolande Nesseth, was an excellent success with students.
"Calvin Klein was really entertaining and thanks to La Force I know that I would like to work in PR."
From May 9th to 19th 2018 took place the first European edition of LaSalle College Fashion Trips. Twenty students from the International School of Fashion, Arts, and Design had the chance to discover two huge fashion capitals: Paris and London.
During this 100% fashion program, the participants had the chance to visit the head offices of Parisian designers and of WGSN London, enjoyed a personalized tour of the Louvre with a fashion journalist, explored trendy neighbourhoods such as le Marais and Camden Town, and saw a fashion show at the Galeries Lafayette.
The Victoria & Albert Museum, the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture of Paris and Central Saint Martins schools, expositions by Martin Margiela and Azzedine Alaïa were also on the itinerary.
We will also never forget the new friendships, discoveries, gourmet dinners and the surprise sunset cruise along the Seine river...
