The annual TÉLIO design competition, “Canada’s Breakthrough Designers” finals took place last night at the Locoshop Angus, awarding Canada’s best students in fashion design.
Frédéric Joncas, Mathieu Joncas, Alex-Ève Martin and Ting Tang, all four students of LaSalle College’s International School of Fashion, Arts and Design won respectively first, second and third as well as the Creative Mention prize. They were awarded study bursaries and prizes totaling a value of over $62 000.
“Considering the fierce competition with 25 finalists selected among 23 participating fashion schools across Canada, our students’ success was a stellar feat. A huge congratulation to all finalists, and to that, I would like to add a special bravo to our 4 winners. We are extremely proud of them!” states François Bousquet, Director of LaSalle College’s International School of Fashion, Arts and Design.
LaSalle College believes in encouraging their students to surpass themselves. This contest serves as a promotional platform for students, allowing them to be known amongst industry professionals and gain exposure in the media.
