As an institutional event of LaSalle College, promoted by the Computer Science programs, Tech Week aims to bring together students, teachers, industry professionals, collaborators and the community in general around conferences, activities, workshops and mini courses on topics from the IT world.

The 2020 edition was the occasion for our students to take part to an array of workshops, a game tournament, a showroom of games produced by our game development specialized students, and panels on a lot of other innovative and informative topics. One of the highlights was the panel from women in IT, as it allowed many students to share their fears and apprehensions, and to see that there is a future for them in the industry.The workshops also received an important turn out while giving the participants a chance to acquire new skills.

In total, over 350 students took virtually part to the event. The overall feedback was so amazing, that the organizers have decided to continue to do small workshops and social online events all year long to keep the spirit and sense of community together.

Congratulation to the whole team behind this project!

We are already looking forward to the next edition.
