No fewer than 500 students attended five days of talks and activities on the theme of information technologies at Tech Week 2018.

An event driven by LaSalle College’s Computer Science Technology programs, Tech Week 2018 was held November 19–23 in Jean-Paul-Morin Hall.

It was a rewarding week of exchange, bringing together students, teachers and industry professionals. Talks, activities, workshops and mini-courses on the theme of information technologies sparked plenty of reflection and discussion.

Following four weeks of preparation, the Innovators in Technology student committee presented no less than sixteen hours of workshops and activities.

The talks covered subjects ranging from blockchain technology and creating an app mockup to artificial intelligence, bots, the Agile method and developing apps for Android.

Students in Computer Science Technology - Network and Security Management also ran a technical help desk on the mezzanine floor for a full afternoon.

Teacher Nariman Mansour gathered students from the Computer Science Technology programs to discuss the WINT (Women Innovators in Technology) branch of the student committee. This branch’s goal is to guide female students to success and support them academically, culturally and socially.
