Twenty High-School Students in Internship in Tourism, Hotel Management and Professional Cooking

July 21, 2016

With its continued success, Student Business has, over time, become Montréal Relève’s signature program. For the past 15 years, Student Business enables young people to live inspiring and practical experiences that allow them to explore at their own pace the professional world.

It is within this context that LaSalle College Montréal was the host of twenty young students from Grades 9 and 10 to participate in an immersive, one-week internship in the professional milieu of tourism, hotel management and professional cooking.

As part of this training week, students were given an opportunity, among others, to learn about their dream destinations and the 7 wonders of the world, to visit a large hotel in Montreal and meet professionals, to attend the conception of a dessert (cherries Jubilee, without alcohol), and enjoy a meal at Le Fuchsia, the restaurant of the International School of Hotel Management and Tourism at LaSalle College. The observation week ended with a guided tour of downtown Montreal and its Underground City.
