Starting this fall, a new financial aid, in the form of a bursary, could be granted to Quebec resident students* who are studying full-time in many programs targeted by the Quebec government. These incentive scholarships are in addition to the current loans and bursaries program. Your dream of studying at LaSalle College could be much closer than you think!
More concretely, each student enrolled full-time at LaSalle College as of the Fall 2022 semester in one of the eligible fields will receive $1,500 for each successful semester (for a maximum total of $9,000 for 3 years). Students are eligible whether they are at the beginning, middle or end of their studies.
This is your chance to study in your dream program at a more than affordable cost!
Here is the list of the DEC programs offered at LaSalle College that are targeted by the Québec Perspective Scholarship Program:
Computer Sciences and Game Design
This new scholarship is intended to increase the number of qualified individuals in the fields prioritized by the government due to a labour shortage in essential public services as well as in strategic economic sectors.
Students will need to apply for the scholarship following confirmation, in January 2023, that they have successfully completed their Fall 2022 semester. Details on how to apply will be specify on the ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur (MES) website in the Fall 2022.
For more information, read the "Q&A" document available on the Quebec government website (in French only).
To talk to one of our Student Financial Services Officers, feel free to schedule a videoconference. Our team is available online Monday-Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (EST).
* The eligible person is a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or an Aboriginal person of Canada and is recognized as a resident of Quebec according to the Regulation respecting the definition of resident of Quebec. This program does not apply to international students.
The impressive Paris Men's Fashion Week was back last January. And, this year, it has a very special meaning for LaSalle College. Our Fashion Marketing graduate and colleague, Bianca Simard, was in the French capital to cover the show of our graduate and lecturer, Markantoine Lynch-Boisvert!
