Montréal en histoires presents Cité Mémoire

May 30, 2016

Cité Mémoire, created by Michel Lemieux and Victor Pilon, in collaboration with Michel Marc Bouchard, will illuminate the Old Port of Montreal each day at dusk.

Loosely inspired on the history of Montreal, Cité Mémoire is an invitation to meet a multitude of characters who have witnessed the city's evolution over time. More than twenty scenes are presented in images, words and music. The mood varies from playful to poetical. Displayed from one end of Old Montreal to the other, this work of art emerges from the walls that surround us, the ground we tread, the trees that sway to our daily rhythm.

The Lighting Ceremony took place on May 17th at the Montréal Science Centre, with several dignitaries present as guests of honour, including Mr. Denis Coderre, Mayor of Montreal.

Several students from the International School of Hotel Management & Tourism also helped to ensure the evening was a success. About fifteen of them had the chance to serve as tour guides for the event, which was attended by dignitaries, the media, and artists. An enriching, exciting and unique opportunity for our students.
