Cooking shows are all the rage these days and the students in our Professional Cooking program (DEP) were lucky enough to get a front row seat!

They were the only students selected to take part in the filming of a test episode for the Les Chefs! program.

Les Chefs! is a show where aspiring chefs compete in a race against the clock to prove that they have what it takes to become a chef. The show is hosted by Élyse Marquis with coaching and mentoring provided by Daniel Vézina, chef and owner of Laurie Raphaël.

On Les Chefs! some renowned experts judge and critique the work of the 12 aspiring chefs: Normand Laprise, chef and owner of Toqué!, Jean-Luc Boulay, chef and owner of Saint-Amour, and Pasquale Vari, lead instructor at Institut d’hôtellerie du Québec (ITHQ).

In addition to the incredible experience, the day of filming offered a few of the students the chance to impress the chefs with their outstanding culinary technique and their ability to work quickly.
