LaSalle College is now accredited to offer the “100% Accueillant” training to students in the International School of Hotel Management & Tourism, providing them with a little boost on the job market.
The ministère du Tourisme established this training with the goal of “making Quebec a tourist destination recognized worldwide for the quality of its workforce,” and to highlight the “warm welcome of Quebeckers.”
Designed for frontline workers in tourism, it teaches students to focus their work on hospitality rather than simply offering services, and to personalize their approach.
LaSalle College’s International School of Hotel Management & Tourism was involved in the process of creating this training from the very beginning, from collecting the initial data through the pilot training.
The College is now “100% Accueillant” certified, and will be adding this training to the fall DEC programs in Hotel Management Technique, Food Service Management and Tourism Techniques.
