On Friday, April 28th, Chef Ron Duprat was in Montréal and agreed to stop by LaSalle College to give a conference in front of the International School of Hotel Management and Tourism students.

Executive Chef, author, TV personality and humanitarian, he gained international recognition with his French Caribbean cuisine. Needless to say that the Professional Cooking DEP students took advantage of the conference to get insider tips from Chef Duprat.

His first tip: stay true to yourself, be you and you will be able to create your own cooking style. On the technical level, he mentioned that you can bring a recipe wherever you want as long as you keep the base. Of course, Chef Duprat didn’t forget to bring up how important discipline is to succeed as you have to work hard, 7 days a week, from dawn to dusk.

LaSalle College was honored to welcome Chef Ron Duprat and to offer its students a moment as privileged as inspiring in company of an industry leader.
