A new school year is already approaching and LaSalle College has several tools at your disposal.

First of all, please note that due to the Quebec government's instructions, it will not be possible to physically obtain services at the Collège from December 17, 2020 to January 10, 2021 inclusively.

After a well-deserved break for the holiday season from December 25 to January 3, Student Affairs Services and the pedagogical and administrative teams will be available remotely to assist you from January 4 to 8, 2021. They will be back on campus as of January 11th.

Our admissions office will remain open remotely until further notice. You can consult the schedule here.

Orientation platform

This online platform allows you to discover your campus virtually and to quickly find answers to your questions in order to be ready to start your Winter 2021 semester. You will find, among other things, important information concerning your virtual classes as well as the technical prerequisites necessary to follow your courses offered online.

You can also consult the various resources and Student Services available. This will help make your return to school an unforgettable experience.

It’s also a great way to become familiar with the Student Services Service. During your time at the College, its staff will be there for you, both online and on campus, offering you a multitude of services to support you in your studies.

In fact, you will be able to virtually meet with various student services staff members by watching the video clips via the back to school platform.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Quarantine

What is quarantine? Quarantine is self-isolation for a full 14 days upon arrival from another country to help limit the spread of COVID-19. During this time, you should have no physical contact with anyone. But don't worry, we'll be there for you virtually!

Do I have to self-quarantine even if I don't have any symptoms? Yes, everyone arriving from another country must self-quarantine. Do not travel to Canada if you have symptoms. If you experience symptoms upon arrival (fever, cough, sneezing, headache, difficulty breathing), you must inform a Canadian Border Services Officer at the airport and special additional measures may be taken.

Fill out your QUARANTINE PLAN (form provided via Omnivox) and send it directly to your Admissions Advisor. You will also need to submit it via the ArriveCAN app.

MAKE YOUR QUARANTINE PLAN - MANDATORY

(OPTION A) Choose Languages Canada's all-inclusive Safe Study Corridor. Everything is included: your hotel stay along with meals and transportation, a Canadian SIM card, full insurance coverage for 4 weeks, and even discounted flights (optional flight service).

(OPTION B) Choose a customized plan that we’ll help you organize

1. Where to stay?

a. In a hotel* that offers quarantine service: Book your hotel room before leaving your home country. Special self-isolation rates are available until December 30, 2020. When making your reservation, specify that you will be in quarantine during your stay and mention Colleges and Institutes Canada. You may wish to discuss transportation options with the hotel.

b. With LaSalle College's accommodation service

- Host Families - Our host families are aware of necessary quarantine measures and provide an excellent support network for our students. Students who choose this option must sign up for the 3 meals/day option for the first two weeks of their stay. Meals will be delivered to your room.

- Student Residence - Our student residence has strict quarantine measures in place and offers all the services that you will need during this period, including meals delivered to your room.

- Shared apartment - If you choose to live in a shared apartment, you must add a meal option for the first 14 days of your stay. ou will not be allowed access to the shared rooms during your quarantine, except of course to the bathroom. You will be responsible for following the quarantine rules very strictly, protecting your roommates from exposure, and you will be required to sign the quarantine declaration on the last page of this document.

Accommodation

If you are in self-quarantine, you are not allowed to take public transportation. You must arrange private transportation. If you have a friend or someone in your host family who can pick you up, this is ideal. If you are staying in a hotel, discuss transportation options with the hotel staff. LaSalle College also offers airport pick-up services. Contact our Accommodations Department for more details.

Food

If you are staying in a hotel, with a host family, or in our student residence, meals will be provided. If you live independently without a kitchen (or if you simply don't like to cook), you can order food through several delivery services.

Don't forget

Make sure you have proof of medical insurance covering COVID-19 valid upon entry into Canada. Your medical insurance provided by LaSalle College (Tugo) covers COVID-19 related illnesses for policies issued after July 8, 2020.
