This past July 16 to 20, high school students learned the basics of the fashion industry at LaSalle College as part of the Student Business program.

Under the instruction of Christiane Berthiaume, these teenagers from grades 9 and 10 were immersed in the world of fashion.

They participated in a number of activities, including a visit to the McCord Museum, the creation of trend boards, printing logos on clothing and a visit to the Anomal Couture workshop.

Currently in place in 27 high schools in the Montreal region, the Student Business program, established by Montréal Relève in the early 2000s, has to date enabled 18,000 students to experience internships and more than 1000 organizations to get to know potential new recruits.

LaSalle College’s International School of Fashion, Arts and Design was honored to have participated for the second year in a row in the Student Business internship and to have inspired the dynamic young generation.
