On Wednesday, February 8^th, CF Carrefour Laval announced the launch of a lavish exhibition in its indoor garden. The public exhibition features 10 original and surprising fashion pieces inspired by spring. Designed in partnership with 10 of our Fashion Design students, the floral gowns will be on display until May 7, 2017.

A spring challenge for young fashionistas

To mark the highly-anticipated return of spring, CF Carrefour Laval challenged our Fashion Design students to create gowns made with flowers from its indoor garden. Ten finalists were selected to produce floral gowns to go on display in the CF Carrefour Laval garden. The judges selected three outstanding designs and awarded these students with a total of $8,000 in scholarships from Cadillac Fairview. This collaboration was a creative way for CF Carrefour Laval to support local emerging talent and reaffirm its position as a fashion leader in Quebec.

“We’re pleased to be joining forces with LaSalle College to celebrate the return of spring and showcase our garden. It’s an important part of CF Carrefour Laval that should not be missed,” said Jacqueline Kost, General Manager at CF Carrefour Laval. “This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to surprise and dazzle visitors through new visual experiences that will make CF Carrefour Laval the shopping destination par excellence.”

What’s more, it was a unique challenge for our students and we couldn’t be more proud to team up with CF Carrefour Laval for the opening of their spring garden,” said François Bousquet, director of the International School of Fashion, Arts and Design at LaSalle College.

Sharing the return of spring on social media

From February 9^th to March 3^rd, visitors will be able to support emerging talent from LaSalle College by voting for their favourite gown. To enter the contest, visitors can share a photo of their favourite gown on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #EnModeCarrefour for a chance to win one of three $200 CF SHOP! cards.
