Pingsi Zhou Attends Master Class in Paris

September 4, 2015

Pingsi Zhou, a graduate of LaSalle College's Fashion Design Program, spent the summer in Paris attending a 4-week master class at the Parisian institute Les Arts Decoratifs. Following her victory at the prestigious international Arts of Fashion competition in 2014, Pingsi Zhou had the opportunity to benefit from an intensive 160-hour program taught by an expert team of designers from the fashion and textile industries.

Here's a preview of Pingsi Zhou's most recent lookbook:

The Arts of Fashion Foundation master class has several objectives, including

  • increasing, developing and encouraging creativity by exposing young designers to different cultural environments as well as new design approaches and techniques;
  • offering and supporting emerging artists in the development of their unique design DNA while providing important feedback on their portfolio and career plans;
  • initiating and encouraging collaboration and the sharing of ideas between professionals, designers and students;
  • allowing students to network with other students from around the world.

In years past, leading designers such as Anthony Vaccarello (2010), Aurore Thibout (2011), Christine Phung and Lucile Puton (2012), Zoe Vermeire (2013), Raphaelle H'Limi and Kenta Matsushige (2014) accompanied the young prodigies during their stay.
