LaSalle College Welcomes Myrianne Collin, First New General Director in 40 Years

LaSalle College board of directors chair Mr. Jacques Marchand is proud to announce the appointment of Ms. Myrianne Collin as LaSalle College General Director, the position he has held for the past 40 years. Ms. Collin will report directly to the board of directors as she leads and guides LaSalle College’s management team. She will assume these duties on October 9th.

She is an inspiring and passionate leader with more than 20 years of experience in upper management at leading companies such as Bell Canada, Videotron and Québecor Média. For more than a decade, she also actively contributed to Videotron’s growth and development in her role as senior vice president of operations, marketing and customer experience. She has demonstrated her ability to create and share a unique vision and innovative strategies, while bringing people together. In her new role, she will use her skills in management, growth, coaching and strategic planning to meet the unique challenges of our educational institution. 

Ms. Collin is taking up the baton at a College that has maintained impressive growth, educating nearly 4,500 students each year. LaSalle College is a key player in the educational field in Quebec and the largest bilingual college in North America. As General Director, Ms. Collin looks forward to playing a part in developing the skills of Quebeckers. She says, “We are currently in a situation where the labor shortage is reaching worrying levels. With LaSalle College’s well-known academic excellence, our close relationships with industry and our involvement in the community, I intend for us to be part of the solution.” In addition, Ms. Collin will help guide LaSalle College into its 60th anniversary year and will ensure the 2019-2021 strategic plan is successfully implemented.
