LaSalle College Montréal alumni wins AURA Award

July 28, 2015

LaSalle College Montréal is proud to announce today that the recipient of the AURA Award for 2014-2015 is Marie-Hélène Thériault, a graduate of the Tourism Techniques program.

During her student days, Marie-Hélène Thériault was a true ray of sunshine on campus and made an impression on many teachers, who saw her as a person whose involvement at school went beyond her classes and as a cheerful student who knew how to bring people together.

She managed to contribute to the reputation of her program during her time as a student, while at the same time making academic success a priority. From the very beginning of her academic career, she was involved in the LaSalle College Student Association (AGEL). She then distinguished herself through her involvement and participation in different extracurricular and volunteer activities such as fundraising events, the Jeux du Tourisme (Tourism Games) and the International Tourism and Travel Show.

She very recently completed an internship with Transat Holidays, in the cruise booking department, which led to her being offered a full-time job.

The purpose of the AURA Award, created by the Association des Collèges Privés du Québec (ACPQ/Quebec Association of Private Colleges), is to recognize students who create unifying projects within the ACPQ’s member colleges, and who are committed not only to academic success, but to extracurricular activities as well.
