For the 16th edition of Festival Mode & Design, LaSalle College presented the fashion show YUL-BCN, last Friday, on August 19th. Showcasing the collections of the Fashion Design graduates of LaSalle College Montréal and LCI Barcelona, this production of Groupe Sensation Mode was presented on the Passerelle Casino de Montréal, located at the heart of Quartier des spectacles.
The collections of Montreal’s graduates were first unveiled on the runway, transformed into a loading dock for the occasion. Following this first part, the creations of three designers from Barcelona were presented to the thousands of festival-goers attending the Fashiontainement. It culminated to the mixing and matching of the garments from Montreal and Barcelona for a magnificent grand finale!
In parallel with the fashion show, LaSalle College presented MONTREAL >< BARCELONA, an exhibition first introduced on the LCI Barcelona campus. Seeking to establish a dialog on design between the two cities, the exhibition welcomed the festival-goers from August 17th to August 20th at Quartier des spectacles and will soon be adapted to live within LaSalle College Montreal’s atrium.
