Last May 9th to May 19th, 16 participants took flight as part of the first European edition of our celebrated Fashion Trip.

These students from LaSalle College’s International School of Fashion, Arts and Design spent ten days in two of Europe’s fashion capitals—Paris and London.

Drawing inspiration from the annual Fashion Trips to New York, the tailor-made itinerary was coordinated by teachers Lili Desrochers and Yolande Nesseth.

It included a host of activities centered around fashion, ranging from tours of museums and fashion schools to meetings with members of the fashion industry. Not to mention several shopping trips, which are always popular!

The students explored the Louvre through the lens of a fashion journalist, attended a catwalk show at Galeries Lafayette, discussed trends in the offices of WGSN London, discovered fashion districts such as the Marais and Camden Town, as well as reflecting on environmental issues at the Victoria and Albert Museum’s Fashioned from Nature exhibition.

This unforgettable trip has forged new friendships, inspired dreams and opened up new horizons. Where to next? Follow @lasallefashiontrips to find out!

They said it:

“I realized how much this trip gave me more than just a positive outlook and motivation for the future. After visiting WGSN and sharing ideas with the people working in their offices, after meeting an alumna of LaSalle College who is now studying at Central St. Martins, I realized that anything is possible.”

- Justine

“I really loved seeing fashion in a different country and learning more about the industry. I think fashion trips are important to inspire students who want to study fashion or work in fashion in a different country.”

—  Stephanie

“This trip not only fulfilled many of my dreams, but also blossomed hundreds of new dreams and aspirations within me.”

—  Emilia
