During an interview given by Huffington Post Québec, DUY confirmed that this is “a true honor to dress the First Lady, especially when there is such a wide array of Canadian talents with a larger structure and concrete resources. I work alone and I treat every single client as a VIP.”

His main challenge when it comes times to dressing the First Lady: “It is important not to fall into the austere or matron side. Sophie Grégoire-Trudeau is young; we definitely do not want to make her look older.”

It is important to note that a First Lady always likes to promote Canadian designers in official appearances.
