Thinking about pursuing a formation in arts, literature and communication after high school? Let us help you decide which program is the best to achieve your goals!

Culture and Media option

You would like to become a television or radio host, a graphic designer, a teacher or a journalist? If so, the Arts, Literature and Communication - Culture and Media option program is for you and will help you to develop your creativity and communication skills.

This program is intended for students willing to experiment with artistic production while gaining a more in-depth general culture in order to better understand and appreciate artistic and literary works.

Throughout your DEC, you will take part in various artistic and media events such as visiting renowned institutions as well as alternative venues.

Furthermore, you will actively participate in these events while enjoying the intercultural environment of Montréal.

Arts and Design option

You would like to become an architect, an artist, a graphic designer or an interior designer? The Arts, Literature and Communication - Arts and Design option program is designed especially for you and will allow you to build a portfolio to facilitate your admission into university programs with restricted enrollment.

This program is intended for students looking to experiment with media production while gaining a more in-depth general culture in order to better understand and appreciate artistic and literary works.

During your DEC, you will take part in artistic events while benefiting from the city’s cross-cultural environment. 

These experiences will allow you to exercise your critical thinking and to broaden your horizons concerning the value of art in our society.

 

The pre-university programs are two years in length for a total of four semesters. They prepare students for university studies.If you have any questions, you can talk with our advisors by phone or in person, from Monday to Friday.
