Four Professional Cooking Students Receive Scholarships

On September 7, Fondation ARQ presented four $250 scholarships to graduates of LaSalle College’s DVS program in Professional Cooking.

These students especially stood out because of their internship performance. They were also the top students in their program.

Congratulations to recipients Mélany Lahaie, Mayra Garcia Martinez, Mallory Sarmiento and Gertrude Villaflor Alovera.

These students were trained by teachers Mohamed Boucharb for the French track and Jeffrey Stirrup for the English track.

Students in the program must complete a five-week internship at a food service company or restaurant.

Fondation ARQ is overseen by the Association des restaurateurs du Québec.
