Télio contest 2012
A hat-trick for LaSalle College
Thursday February 9th at 7:30 p.m. on Montreal Fashion Week's catwalk was where Les créateurs mode de demain contest was organized. Brought to the stage by TÉLIO, this contest is organized by the leader in North American import-export textile distribution.
This event rounds 23 fashion schools across Canada and puts in the spotlight emerging fashion designers by giving them a chance to win one of five study bursaries for a total value of $15 000.
Three out of 26 finalists are from the International School of Fashion, Arts and Design of LaSalle College. Alexandre Arsenault, Yi jingXu and Isabel Prado Caro brought home respectively first, second and third place. A true hat-trick for these three future designers. They stood out remarkably and we congratulate them.
We would also like to congratulate their teacher, Céline Chicoine as well as quality control manager, Julie Bérubé who both worked diligently for such an achievement to be made possible.
To encourage our students to surpass themeselves is an integral part of the International Fashion School's philosophy. This contest serves as a promotional platform, allowing students not only to be know amongst key industry players, but by the media as well.
Once again, congratulations to all!
