Founded in 1959, LaSalle College is a Canadian private post-secondary educational institution specializing in vocational and pre-university programs. Their programs bridge college level education and the various outlets, be it the industry, organizations or university. Located downtown Montreal, LaSalle College is the largest bilingual college in North America.

LaSalle College offers over 60 programs to choose from, taught mostly by teachers who are professionals in their respective field. All programs are designed by industry experts and a strong emphasis is placed on gaining professional experience before graduating. Most programs have an integrated internship that is required to graduate. Students can also take part in work-study programs that allows them to experience a paid internship during the summer months.

A sought-after diploma

The College proposes 3 types of diplomas, recognized by the Ministre de l'Éducation et de l'Enseignement supérieur (MEES):

  • Diploma of college level studies (DEC)
  • Attestation of college level studies (AEC)
  • Diploma of vocational studies (DEP)

A diploma of college studies (DEC) can either give a student access to university or the job market. An attestation of college studies (AEC) serves to reorient one’s career or quickly acquire a skill set applicable in the job market. A diploma of professional studies is a high school level diploma that prepares students for direct employment.
