Horizon is the theme proposed to the graduating students in the Arts, Literature and Communication Program, Arts and Design Option at LaSalle College. This theme can be explored through three perspectives: first the spatial horizon, referring to the notions of landscape and geography, second the temporal horizon, where we project ourselves into the future, finally horizontality as a relational mode, where we reject hierarchies to live together on equal ground.

These concepts, whether linked or separate, offer many possibilities of reflection. Each artwork presented in this exhibition is linked to this theme and offers a unique student vision related to human experience in our world.

During their two years in the program, students acquired a vast knowledge that now allows them to critically analyze contemporary cultural practices. In addition, through the exploration of many mediums, they have learned how to use the language specific to the arts in order to better communicate their ideas. This knowledge also helped them to actively be engaged in their personal artistic practice.

From May 1st to May 6th 2017, we invite you to enter the world imagined by our students and to listen, experience and appreciate their creativity. The gallery will be open on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. An opening will be held on Friday, May 4th, starting at 6 p.m., at Galerie Le 1040.

100% of the sales of the artwork will be donated to the LCI Education Foundation.
