Date
February 11, 2016 – 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The International School of Hotel Management & Tourism at LaSalle College is proud to be hosting a conference presented by Frédéric Gonzalo, an expert in tourism e-marketing.

According to a recent study from Google and Ipsos MediaCT, no fewer than 87% of all travel-related searches now originate online. With this in mind, it is essential that the students fully grasp the power of social media and digital marketing in our industry. This lecture is therefore in line with the objective of providing students with the tools they will need when entering the job market.

Frédéric Gonzalo's conference will take place on February 11th, at 9:00 a.m. in French, and at 10:00 a.m. in English, in the Salle Jean-Paul-Morin at LaSalle College.

With more than 20 years’ experience in the tourism and travel sector, Mr. Gonzalo is truly passionate about marketing and communications. He regularly contributes to the specialized news bulletin TourismExpress, as well as to the PAX Nouvelles magazine. In English, he writes for several publications such as Social Media Today, Skift, Tnooz, 4hoteliers and ehotelier. Since 2013, his blog has been ranked one of the top 10 best references in Canada in the category of Business, Marketing and Social Media. In 2015, he published his first book: Social Media Best Practices in Travel Marketing.
