The Computer Science Technology program trains computer technicians
to locate, collect and analyze data on the information processing needs
of users, and carry out data modeling and processing
using appropriate software.

Students must be able to write
operational and efficient programs
using various programming languages
and ensure the planning and
implementation of a network.

The Data Management program
allows students to acquire the necessary
management skills for application analysis
and development, as well as the concepts
of local network operation
and administration.

Admission criteria

Have obtained a Secondary School Diploma (DES) and completed the following courses :

  • Language of Instruction from Secondary V
  • Second Language from Secondary V
  • Mathematics TS or SM 5e (or Math 526)
  • Physical Sciences from Secondary IV
  • History from Secondary IV

or

Have obtained a Professional Studies Diploma (DEP) and completed the following courses:

  • Language of Instruction from Secondary V
  • Second Language from Secondary V
  • Mathematics TS or SM 5e (or Math 526)

or

Have obtained an equivalent education or an instruction deemed sufficient. Every case will be analysed by the college.

 

Level

  • This program leads to a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC).
  • Holders of a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) can either begin to work in their field or pursue university studies.

Computer Club

The School includes a student-run computer club, which provides support to new computer science students and organizes sports and cultural activities.

INTERNSHIPS

Students who have passed their final exams must complete their attestation with a twelve-week internship within a business.
