Textile Embelishment Techniques

This program values the particular techniques of embellishment and distinguishes the most
appropriate production techniques. It allows individuals with a training in fashion design
or working in a similar task of the apparel and fashion industry to improve their
knowledge through learning artisan techniques of textile transformation
in order to apply them to industrial production. 

The program aims to allow individuals entering
the work force to work the industrial textile
by adding an important value to it, to encourage
and exploit professional knowledge of designers
or other related trades, to support professional
versatility of individuals by giving them tools
to manage their careers, particularly
by the recognition of possibilities to start
their own company, and to acquire handmade
techniques and adapt them to computerized
techniques and industrial tools.

 

Employment Prospects

Upon completion of the program, graduates holding a certificate in Textile Embellishment  mixed with their college degree in Fashion Design can work in the following positions/fields:

  • Designer
  • Clothing companies
