My education at LaSalle College gave me credibility in the different positions I've held. It has helped me a lot during my job interviews.
Tell us about your career path.
When I finished the Hotel Management Techniques program, it was important for me to be able to quickly apply my knowledge in the field. My strategy was to accept the job opportunities that I knew I would love and want to discover.
I started as Cleaning Services Supervisor. After one year, I became Housekeeper in the same organization.
Just recently, I was hired by the new Saint-Hyacinthe Convention Centre, which is attached to a Sheraton Hotel. It’s a golden opportunity for me to participate in the opening as Sales Coordinator!
What advice would you give a student currently enrolled in the Hotel Management Techniques program? In order to succeed in this field of work, be open to job market opportunities. Often the connections with your colleagues are the ones that will give you access to new experiences.
